Why is that timer thing in the game ?

The timer is a real pain-in-the-butt. It merely reflects an anal-retentive nerdy geekishness that makes normal people want to get ballistic@**!!!
I know , because I've seen pictures of normal people.
Seriously, I'm just a regular guy (right)....and am only trying to help....
But will the gamer freaks listen?....I don't think so!....holy undershorts!

Some players find this option funny as "fast chess", mainly in online mode (I prefer competition with other player, not with time).

I like the idea of time, but as long as it is turn based and someone choose inf time, its okey. They are the once that have to wait longer ^^
