as the ai surrenders when you're winning by 350%, what is the equivalent point when we should surrender in multiplayer games? (I'm currently getting slaughtered by lola and want to now when I can bow out gracefully)

When you are playing for fun it`s ok to surrender when you can not fight back any longer AND when you can`t try some of your ideas to practice tactics.(even losing in general you can have some fun sharpening your tactics somewhere on the battlefield where you have some material left)

Speaking about the tournament though,it`s best to surrender immediately when you are sure that you can`t win and loses will only grow in numbers giving you less points if it so happens that they will count.
