Oh, ja ja... I remember, Schroedinger - I know - the famous Prussian General, who fought against Napoleon....

Heh,meaning that looking at all copies of the game(patched and unpatched) we can think of it as a whole object(the Game) we can also suppose it to be patched or unpatched at the given moment. It has the PROBABILITY of being patched. So playing the game we MEASURE its condition. It becomes clear if the game is patched or not.But IF,just IF we suppose that this condition can be seen as in microparticles probability field, then by measuring it we destroy the VERY delicate situation where game is patched ...or not patched with measureable probability which ,although increasing with time will never be complete 100%.Seeing it from that point of view, all copies of MA will never be patched if we don`t check their condition themselves:)))

BUT,seeing it from this point there IS a randomness in MA besides of secret allies.I hope you can at least exclude it from the tournament somehow. As for now the only way to be sure is to move all 2+ move units by 1 hexagon a time, hexagon by hexagon. So that game will not have to evaluate trajectory from point A to point B.

Thanks everyone for this verbouse bug report.

The patched version was intended to be 100% compatible with the old one :)

The problem lies in different path finding algorithms used now and before.

Right now the situation is the following:
1) Both versions are played ok when you play against the same version
2) If a game is played with different versions - the bug is possible.
3) An automatic "cheat proof" is built into client patched version - it will inform you if a cheat (bug, a move that contradicts the rules) is detected.
4) It may be impossible to continue a non-patched game in a patched version.
5) Replays of pre-patched games may be broken or play differently.

Morton: I was right, too, of course.

With our game, Iґll try a simple, practical solution:

1) Wait for the patch, install it, maybe the problem is solved.

2) If that doesnґt work, Iґll graciously surrender, since youґre ahead.

This must be the most hilarious bug Iґve ever encountered. 8)

Same vehicle leaving different tracks in the snow in different snapshots of the same situation. Precious. :D

Just made a joke about the situation:)Nothing personal.

Vic is calling Vadim via ICQ:
Vic:I have two news. One good and one bad, from which should I start?
Vadim:From the good one of course!
Vic:You made an exellent adjustment of pathfinding algorythm,it no longer takes shortcuts through neutral countries.Players rejoice.
Vadim:And the bad one?
Vic:Unpatched versions do not know it yet...

Yeah, I have the unpatched version still and I've noticed that the auto-path algorithm will many times take you through a neutral country. So I have to take the 1 hex at a time manual path sometimes. Does this mean that if I do this on my end, the 1 hex at a time, it will show up incorrectly for patched users? Or is it only if I allow the auto-path to choose the path, even if it seems to choose the correct path on my machine?

Hopefully though it won't make any differerence if the Matrix patch gets released soon!

By the way, is there a built in capture screen function in Massavie Assault?

It will be OK if you make your moves 1 hex at a time.
It may choose different paths in patched and unpatched versions even if it's ok on your PC.
The patched vesion still moves you units through enemy territory - it wasn't fixed.

There is a hotkey, but I don't remember it :)

It must be F12 Key, which makes a .jpg screenshot and puts into the root folder.
