Hi

I'm trying the demo, and loving the game, but there's some distortion to the voice and music.

Anyone else have this problem?

Any idea how to fix it?

I'm running windows Me, geforce 5600, 500mb ram, new drivers, etc.

I'd love to buy this game, but not if I can't fix the sound.

thanks

well perhaps you need to look at a new soundcard... what sound card are you running now?

The soundcard is a generic one built into the motherboard (this is an HP computer) Admittedly, a new one would be very nice. However, I'm not experiencing any problems with Warcraft 3, Age of Mythology, CandC Generals, Morrowwind, Halo, or any other game. So it would be cool to have anew soundcard, but I just got the Geforce 5600 videocard and that blew the budget.

But thanks for your response. Any other ideas?

yeah, that would blow my budget too lol. Although your sound works with various other games, sometimes (i've found) your sound card (mostly generic built in ones) have stupid little issues with games. Like mine, works with TONS of games, but i've had major distortion or "echoing" problems with halflife... i don't know about maybe getting new soundcard drivers?? that might help... but this is about all i know, so hopefully someone will share some more insightful info on this :)

you can try to set
UseHardware from 0 to 1 in the Massive Assault's settings.ini file.

Thanks again Vadim,

This seems to have done the trick. I'll be purchasing the full game as soon as I can.
