I'm thinking since this game is so like chess they should had a 'play be e-mail' option to it.

Massive Assault has PBEM-style internet play: you can play with any number of live opponents simultaneously. You make your turns offline and then send them to your opponets.

The only difference (I guess, it's a nice feature) is that you do not have to use any e-mail program attaching your turns. The program AUTOMATICALLY connects to the dedictated game server for a couple of seconds to send/receive the turns

I think the multiplayer gameplay is fab. I'm playing 4 games at the moment (getting thrashed, but that's just me being rubbish). Gives you time to think rather than simply being the fastest clicker as happens with many RTS games.
