I'm playing D:MA hotseat with my wife (as I previously played Heroes of Might and Magic 3-4-5, still hotseat with her). We are wondering about a world war's time and turn's time. I mean: it is usual to spend 15 minutes to play your turn, and even an half hour onto a large map. Is this normal? do you players spend so much time playing only one turn? or are we too much brainy or crazy to let a war take so much hours? I know it would be possible to have a few minutes' turn, but it won't be the same game. It would be a blitzkrieg-MA as you may have blitzkrieg when playing chess, moving your units without thinking so much. Tell me.

Yeah, its pretty usual to spend half an hour on a larger map. Even more near end game when there are more units and the stakes are higher.
