I don't see this posted anywhere else.

I just installed the American version of the patch last night. The game ran perfectly before. (2 months straight of gameplay) Now it randomly freezes up for about 10-15 seconds at a time every few minutes. The game is still technically 'playable' as it doesn't crash me out or anything, but it's annoying to have to wait for these pauses every several minutes. Has anyone else reported this?

Ok, after further testing....the longer I play, the worse it gets. After approximately an hour of play, it's now locking up about every 10 seconds, and the lockups last about 30 seconds. This only started happening AFTER I applied the patch.

Just curious if I'm the only person experiencing this.

Love the game, but I'm going to have to remove the patch until it's fixed.

I have 2 versions of what is going on. To clarify me, please, answer the following questions:

1) Haven't you installed or enabled recently any new software running on background? For example, some anti-virus or online disk defragmentor or online memory optimizer, etc.

2) Do you have enough memory? Both total and free? 256Mb total? Free memory decreases by any running application. It is possible that patched version uses a bit more memory, so any memory related problem may cause such effect.

VaNO: Nope, I've made absolutely no changes to my PC. I have a very "clean" machine. No programs running in the background. The only thing that has changed is I installed the patch. :) I could give you full specs on my system if you like.

Please, fill a form at http://www.massiveassault.com/support.php
In description of your problem just copy the text from both your post in this topic. Also we need DxDiag file (from which we'll know about your specs), ma.log and settings.ini. Hope this information will help to resolve the problem.

VaNO:

Sorry, I replaced my video card before getting a chance to fill out that form. I now have an ASUS 9600XT card in my box and everything works fine.

The card I was using before was a Geforce4 TI 600, and I have a KIA chipset on my motherboard. I've read lots of sites saying those KIA chipsets can have lots of problems with Nvidia cards. I couldn't run Unreal Tournament or No One Lives Forever with that card either because of lock-ups. I just thought it was weird that it ran fine before I isntalled the patch.

Anyway, I've gone to ATI and I'll probably never buy another Nvidia card again.

Thanks for a great game!
