 Post subject: Few questions regarding custom maps and such!

IS the offical MA editor planning to be updated anytime in the near future? to include features like camera postioning? Because the offical MA editor seems to have many many problems, which frusturates me greately, sometimes i place units in the editor only to have them not show up, or have them appear somewhere else.

Also i have another question, regarding balloons in this game.

SHOW_BALLON 1 NONE LEFT 10 50 "Text"


What does the NONE value represent? along with the 10 and 50? I am really interested in making my own unique campagin.

One more thing is there a way to tell your current camera angel in game? Maelstorm said of a such feature except i cant find anything like that on the forum. Thank you ^_^

The 10 and 50 I believe are x and y map coords (what hex the text is centered on). Not sure about the None... take a look in some of the other .msn files and what else it is used for

Thank you, after playing with the coordinates, ive come to the conclusion that the coordinates are only relative to where your camera is.


Which makes it very very hard and annoying to get your balloon coordinates right >_< also if you put a negative coordinate it mirrors it >_< and shows everything backwards.

NONE means that there is no unit icon showed in the corner of the Baloon.

You may add unit's icons to those Baloons inserting "LBOTA" and such unit denotions.

For example, if you want to center the player's attention that there is a specific unit or a group of specific units, like Guard TOwers, Ostriches, etc.

coordinates:

1) they are relative to hexgrid
2) they point-out a cell where baloon appears
3) LEFT in baloon string says that this baloon is left aligned to the cell in 2)
4) other possible values are RIGHT and CENTER
