it really depends how fast they send the game turn.

could take a week could take a month or longer.

The multiplayer mode of MA is very much like e-mail multiplayer. But you have to connect to MA server if you want to send/receive a turn or start a new game. It is not possible to play by typical email. You have one profile on a server witch you can "restore" on any MA client.

Typical game length in turns: 8-10 for small maps, 12-20 for large.
Typical time per turn: from 2-3 mins if playing against newbie to 2-4 hours in a game vs Pro on a large map. The actual order-giving takes ~1minute in any case.

Some features:
You have an option to receive a notification email when one of your opponents makes his turn or when a challenge is sent to you.
Server calculates statistics on your games for you.
The turn is available immediately to your opponent after you've sent it to server. He needs to connect to server to get it. The typical send/receive rarely takes more than 30sec.
Built-in in-game or pre-game(when a challenge is sent) messaging.
You can create a replay on any stage of your battle.

at this time impossible,
but you can make all turns in your battles and then connect to the game server(connect to the internet) and send all your turns in one minute.

OK for "server" round mode. Seems OK and even interesting. From what I see up to now, I expect something really good.

I have some other questions, I hope I don't bore too much those who have already practised (and the web site is quite poor in information)

1) For such game, I guess lag is not a big issue, so can Europeans (like me) connect to this game server (or may be we will have one located nearby) ?

2) Do we have "fog of war" of similar feature ?

3) Can we find somewhere units and principles descriptions ?

4) What is the surface of a big map ? Looking to video, I had the feeling that units were oversized compared to landscape.

5) Do we have to manage fuel, ammunitions

6) Can units be repaired

1) there is only 1 server for now. You don't need to be online to read your email as well as you don't need to comunicate with server to make your turns (issue orders to units)

2) 5) 6) No. A unit rarely lives longer than 2-3 turns while in combat to require any additional supplies. The only fog of war like feature is Secret Allies concept - you cannot be 100% sure that the enemy won't get reinforcements in a particular region unless your enemy has disclosed all his allies(either because he was confident or you made him to disclose).

3) I guess no, the only source of stratgic information is the "Strategic Screenshots" section on MA site http://www.massiveassault.com/strategic_screenshots.php
But they are really usefull as a Tip&Tricks reading. You can also read forums on matrixgames for bits of gameplay info.

4) They ARE oversized :)
The largest map can be crossed by sea transport - the fastest unit in 6-7 turns
