Post subject: Online playing without direct internet access

Hiya,

I'm a big fan of MA, but am unable to play online. I do have internet access, but not on the same PC as my installation of MA. I'm a student, so my internet access is in the university, but my home PC is where i can play MA. Is there a way to start games, send turns and download them, without installing the game? Installing the game in the university is not allowed.

Jelger

Unfortunately, no. It's much better to try find some access to internet. It is not a problem even in third world countries. If you have not ADSL line and even a phone line, you may easily use your cellular phone as modem. Massive Assault requires definitely short periods of time to receive bounds and send them. It should not cost a lot.

Depending on where you're located you could even sign up for a free dial-up service like NetZero or Juno that gives you just a dial-in with a bunch of ad crap on it.

Then you could just dial-in, load the game, send/receive, disconnect, take your turns, and repeat the process... at least once a day or so.

Me.
