We the WEST challenge the EAST to a duel....
Here are the RULES to the Challenge
Each team will must have between 5 to 10 players.
There will be 10 games total (2 games for each of the 5 maps).
Each Team will Choose a Captain (Morn is already Chosen for the WEST)
The Captain will decide how many players he wants in his team.
(All players not chosen - do not complain - this is the hardest part of the competition and I thank Morn for volunteering).
The Captain will decide which players he wants on his team.
2 games per map - One Green - Other Red for each team
The Maps are:
1. Sea Switzerland
2. Trinity
3. New Paradise
4. Swamp
5. Twin Paradise
NOTE: If BOTH captains agree - then any map can be swapped for another unique map (ie there must be 5 unique maps).
Of Course - Medium Density, Extended Units, 10 Revenue Per Turn, Infinite Time for each Turn.
Chess Clock - 14 Days Base Time with a 48 hour freeze.....
This is AT LEAST 2 days to make your turn - and you have 14 days extra for long weekends.
I hope this is Fair for everyone as 14 days per turn is a bit silly.
The most than any player can play is 2 games.
(So you need at least 5 players if all players play 2 games - or 10 players if each person plays 1 game only
Example - You can have 6 players - 4 players who play 2 games each - and 2 players who play 1 game each.
If a players plays 2 games - they MUST be on the SAME map.
Once the teams have been chosen - the Captains will then decide who will play on what map.
Selection of Players will also be strategic.....
Selection will be as follows (by posting on this forum by Captains - one selection at a time....).
NOTE: Each Map is selected slightly differently
Map 1: Game 1 - West Captain - Choses Green Player
Map 1: Game 1 - East Captain - Choses Red Player
Map 1: Game 2 - East Captain - Choses Green Player
Map 1: Game 2 - West Captain - Choses Red Player
Map 2: Game 1 - East Captain - Choses Green Player

Map 2: Game 2 - West Captain - Choses Green Player
Map 2: Game 2 - East Captain - Choses Red Player

Alex, was just wondering why you made the rule that a player must play both of his games on the same map? Personally, I would have liked to play 2 different opponents, one game each on different maps--say a red game on sea swiss and a green game on new paradise. Perhaps no one else thinks this way but I find it more interesting and less predictable to play 2 different opponents--even if it was on the same map--red against one player and green against another. Just so long as everyone plays a red and green game what would it matter?
