I'm not sure about this, but it seems difficult to quickly identify all the enemy units easily once your territory has been breached (if you're concerned about eliminating all the enemy in your territory in one turn to retain control of it and "get paid" for that territory during the reinforcement phase). Everyone on both sides has the same color indicator for health, so I end up dragging my mouse over units to see if they're mine or not. I suggest color-coding unit health by side so you can tell at a glance what units are yours and which aren't. This usually is only confusing in the forest, btw (I don't know about you guys, but sometimes units in woods are only visible by their health number; I can't really see a unit graphic very easily in that terrain). Or, I may be crazy and the units are already color coded, in which case I need to play more and pay more attention.
Oh, on a good note. I'm running higher resolutions (1280x1024, 32-bit) with everything set to max on sliders and "surf" enabled. Not sure if all of those controls are implemented yet (higher resolutions textures, for example), but there is definitely a noticeable improvement in visuals for me with no noticeable drop in game speed. Very happy about that.
Any plans for implementing sound options in future beta builds (thought I'd ask...) Nice game so far, like it a lot.
