We are glad to introduce the great spectacle,All Stars Games –the match West vs East(ex-USSR).
Common Rules- Each of the teams consists of equal player`s quantity –near 12-16.One player from the East has one game with one player from the West.Teams gain 2 points for a victory and 1 points for a draw each of their players.Match will be played in the West team`s «territory»:
West players choose the map,time limit and one or two (F.N.U. and P.L.) games they will play.

Where is the EAST roster?
Is this going to be primarily Russians?

USSR was a multinational country so all ex USSR players will be in EAST team. me and bambr will be too

By the way, why there is no Zartak here?

how many games will this tournament comprise of and how long will it go on for? When will it start? Also, from what i see there is no chess clock, is this also correct?

That match is the challenge of West Team.Players of it choose the favorite map,time limit and how many games they will play –one or two(if they suppose that one game is a clear random and need to play for FNU and PL).You can do the same,Storm.
No mistake – n o t chess clock.Many west players choose 14 days and gave promise to move as faster as they can.I hope that will be done.Say more.The main condition of their taking part was the 14 days time limit.We are all the adult people and ,I guess,we will not play this match some years.I believe.
The opponent of each player will be fixed randomly by the computer`s drawing.So You will have only one opponent with 1 or 2 games.
We start in the end of January.All players will be informed by e-mail before begining.

We had not match like this battle anywhere.Lets do it and get a satisfaction from playing in the high level.

I am awaiting the results of several tests my wife has had recently with regards to her illness, this will determine if i will feel up to and will have the time needed for playing in this tournament--If i want to play, who do i contact? While only a lowly Major, I assume that the west team will allow me to join

My son is now 18 months old

I will be playing only about 2 or 3 games at a time - maybey doing my turns twice a week.
