My opinion:

Great job thinking in the system of "power score". 135 could be a good limit, I think...

I don't like to establish previously the planets by each turn. I like our idea in Match Spain-Poland-Portugal, but in this case simply to choose 2 planets by team (small or medium). Each turn (round) team's players will play red with that 2 planets and green with opponent team's planets (2). In this way team's members must discuss about its choice.

I don't like "substitute" concept for any tournament. Players must to know if they could usually play the games or not play before join the team and tournament.

Finally, I think that is not so important to know who is interested in a Team Championship, but who can list here his team. Team's creation must be an exclusive player's affair. :D

I hope that Innovation, Karbok, etc... can start the negotiation with other players for create its team. :wink:

I mean the same 2 maps against all the teams.

An option for don't need apply substitute rules is to have 1 more player by team (5 in total), but only play 4 players by turn. Captain will inform moderators before each turn's start the composition of team for that match. I think this idea could be the solution for vacations, etc...

And you can be sure that I will be there with my almighty team :lol: ........Now, I only must find it! :wink:

Why is needed 9 lines of rules for substitution?

I think very simples thing: 5 members, 4 players by match. Captain must choose the players before the start of each turn. 5 members are ordered in the team list. Is very easy to understand what will be the order of each player depending of team composition for each turn. Obviously, this implies changes in the limit of "power score" for the team, but I think that "135" could be the limit for the "playing" team.

In this way, Captain can change that composition on basis to the possible pairing with opponents. I say "possible" because Captains must inform only moderators about its choice for next turn (it is simply to say what is the player that will not play). Only when all the Captains give the information, will be published the pairing for next turn.... :o Obviously, If I am moderator, I can't be Captain...for avoid have access to that information and configure the team. I hope the players do not doubt my honesty 8)

Players must to create the teams, but they must too choose a good "Captain" :lol:

Why do you pressume that Karbok will not be in my team? :wink:

Please, don't include any nick in possible teams!!.......Players must to publish here his Team!....they must negotiate and discuss with another players!

Just saying, it will be quite hard to find a substitute player or a fifth team player, because they would have to meet many requirements:

1. Willing to play an extra game that is in a tournament (can put lots of pressure on them)
2. Able to play at the time of when the leaving team player is actually leaving.
3. Be approximately the same skill level as the leaving player.

I'm not sure how close the final score will be for the teams, but if it is usually a significant difference between different teams, you can just award 1 point per match for a leaving team player, after all, the tournament has many games, so 1 game shouldn't matter too much.

5 players by team, 4 players by turn, and each turn should be excluded a different player of the team!
No one shall be excluded 2 times until all players have been at least 1 time (for avoid that theorically more weak player be excluded each turn)

Who wants to be Captain?......Tough decisions are waiting for him/her :lol:

Really, I think that more important question is player's negotiation for create the Teams and choose a Captain...If all the teams have the same context for play the competition has guaranteed emotion.

I think we can close the main rules about limit of "power score" (thinking in 4 or 5 members) and team's composition (my last idea is really brilliant :o )

About power score I mean that we have your proposal of 135 points as limit of power score, but that proposal was done regarding 4 players by team. If finally we can agree 5 members, playing 4, that limit could be maybe "160".

170, 160.....the difference is negligible...I think this issue should not be discussed....170 good, 160 good too... :roll:

Regarding maps choice, I think 1 small and 1 medium is OK.

Main question: Creation of Teams!
