I asked Columbia about online games and they only replied about some Hammer Scott's game or something looking too complicated....not my idea of a good time....but I would like to know how to find East Front game.
So....is the idea of WWII styled units and landscapes out of the question?.....They wouldn't have to prescribe perfectly to the historical scenarios, only vaguely would be nice...hmmm?

Post subject:  it is good that if they can come out a map editor.

If they come out out the map editor such like warcraft3, then it will grow very fast.
I don't know you all know or not, there are a lot of people using blizzard's war3 map editor to create very nice map full with script.
Example like dota map,dday map,tower defend,vampire.......
these all maps currently vry hot in bnet. And more and more people trying to use this as as tool for them to create new game. It become like they using war3 game engine to create their own game.
If you all can make such editor with fix object, no need photoshop,maya....
just the object like tree, road, base, water........
it should able to create by everyone.
Now a lot of game come with game editor but so far blizzard map editor is the most powerful and popular.

would it be possible to create some basic tiles for use in map creation? Personally I don't really care what the maps look like, it's the game play I play the game for. (As long as the explosion look cool that's a must heh)

Forest tiles could just be 1 standard tree (doesn't even have to move if that's easier). The rest of the tarrain is mainly flat anyway. Mountains might look abit tacky with lots of little mountains but again it's the gameplay I'm after. If u see some very good maps then u could always redo them yourselves.

Man do I concur w/Enforcer....I just want a good game-play....and a map can be tastefully drawn and does not need to move; unit icons as well can be attractive, w/o being animated. It's gameplay that really matters.

Yes...this topic got off, but what about the original topic?....Where is the Aurora map?....How do you see such a thing?....Will we see new maps in MAN2 ?.....YEs....it seems worth it to keep the game fresh for all reasons, esp if there are smart and hardworking humans who can make it happen!

It will change timer situation in many ways, including possibility to use Chess Clock style for games.

Also, you will see some interesting changes in My profile section.
Quality assurance took us a bit longer, but we expect to release patch this Thursday.
