I finally got the game but I'm having a resolution problem ...the game menu seems fine but when I click on to play the game, the screen is only 2 X 2 in the upper corner of the monitor...my cursor cannot click on it, as it moves behind the screen and not on top of it....at one point I somehow was able to get it to full screen, but again, my cursor was behind it and if I was able to by chance move the cursor somewhere in the vicinity of a button, I would see it highlight...I'm at 1024x768 and 16 bit color....is the problem with my laptop or is there a workaround that I'm missing?

Hmm sounds maybe like a video card compatibility problem maybe? What
are your specs?

First of all please open settings.ini file (in the root folder of the game) and try to set
FullScreen =0

Width =800
Height =600

RefreshRate =60

SoftwareCursor =1

if this doesn't helps, please visit www.massiveassault.com/support.php

Thanks for the assist as those changes in the settings make the game playable on my notebook...however the graphics card in my Sony Vaio is not up to the demands of this game ,and after seeing how great it looks and plays on my desktop pc, I'll pass on keeping it on my laptop and play it on my main pc only.....

the problem is that some manufacturers suplies laptops (usually based on Gf2Go, Gf4Go) by very old NVidia drivers. Which are very old and buggy. And there are no possibility to install new drivers on such Laptops. :evil:

As far as I know only few version of drivers from NVidia of 2003 year are conflicted with games.
44.63 seems should be working.
You can try to download and run Demo first to test if MA will work on your GF4Go.
Let me know if you will have problems.

my notebook is a toshiba 6100 (512MB, 20GB) with, as i said, geffo4go 420 16MB
i tried 800x600x16, all parameter to none (or low if there is not none)

the demo is slow and stutter violently, hardware cursor does not work

a tragedy :-(

I guess you could also try installing some more recent drivers using modified inf-files such as provided at http://www.geocities.com/madtoast/ . It helped resolve some problems I had with Neverwinter Nigths, don't know if it does something good here though.
